Call it hell, call it heaven, it’s a probable 12-ta-7 that HCST is doing— Guys & Dolls! That iconic, classic musical where the dice and the prayers are rolling all over New York City has landed (once again after being Howard County Summer Theatre’s inaugural production in 1975 and was produced again in 2008) at Marriotts Ridge High School for a two-week engagement and this ain’t no fly-by-night-Broadway-romance!

I got the show for y’all— let’s call it Guys & Dolls and a two week run that’s looking beau-ti-ful! Damon Ruyon I am not, but I gots four leading players to sit down and speak (thankfully not in full Runyonese) all about the Howard County Summer Theatre production of Guys & Dolls, which opens in just a few days’ time! Opening on Friday June 21st and playing selective evening and afternoon performances through June 29th 2024,
They’re going to raise the roof! They’re going to carry on! Give them that old trombone! Give them the old baton! They are the parade— Howard County Summer Theatre— with their 47th annual production and this year it’s a true classic. Hello, Dolly! graces their summertime stage (this year in the auditorium at Marriotts Ridge High School) and it’s a real whizbang! It’s a wonder! It’s a sensation! And it’ll only take a moment for you to fall in love with the tremendously impressive,
Baltimore is full of theatre shows; some comedies, some with
duels, but I prefer a company that produces flashy jewels! A show on your stage
might be quite continental— but “in concerts” are your new best friend! At
least, they are for The Heritage Players this winter. On their third annual “musical
in concert” The Heritage Players breathes new life into a golden oldie— Gentlemen

They’re being pulled in a new direction! Quite literally in
all senses imaginable too! Baltimore Theatre Collective, formerly known as The
Purple Light Theatre Company, has progressed into its next phase of life, now
under the auspices of Baltimore Theatre Collective. And just as their first
major cabaret was attempting to get underway, a snag in their original performance
venue pulled them right over to Genesis Arts, a dance studio in Columbia’s Red
Branch corridor.

After its run on the circuit of community and professional houses all over the tristate area, The Addams Family musical has risen from the dead in time for Halloween and is taking up a three-week residence at Silhouette Stages.
